Mountain Arts:
a gathering of exceptional art for the Holidays

Join the artists of The Art Co-Op Gallery for a special holiday show on Thanksgiving Weekend. Exhibition booth spaces are available in the backyard of the gallery for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving. Any fine artist or craftsperson is welcome to apply. All work shown must be handcrafted by the exhibitor. All media is accepted and encouraged.

Exhibition fee is $20 for any of the three individual days, or $50 for all three days. A 30% normal consignment gallery fee will apply to all sales, made through the central cashier for the gallery. Spaces will be approximately 10 x 10 feet. Some canopies will be provided, but artists are encouraged to bring popups if they have them. All other display structures and tables are to be provided by the artist.

The world in black and white…

Connie Butterfield has transformed her wall at the Art Co-Op with some stunning black and white photos….she says, “I’m drawn to black and white photography because I associate it with a simpler time in my life (my childhood) when everything was shot in black and white. I love it. It’s never boring. The high contrast can communicate strong, powerful images or the subtlety of the many tones can be gentle and soft.”

Celebrating 3 Years of Art Fun in Three Rivers

The Art Co-Op Gallery will be saying “Happy Third Anniversary” during the First Saturday Art Event on August 4 from 11-5 pm. Join gallery artists for lively conversation, yummy refreshments and music provided by Stan Huddleston.

The Art Co-Op Gallery started with seven artists in August of 2009, and now showcases the artwork of twenty-seven local and regional artists.

The new, expanded Art Co-Op Gallery is located on the left hand side of Highway 198, just past the Shell Station in Three Rivers. It is open Thurs-Sun from 11-5 pm. Call 559-561-4995 for more information.

New Space: the steps of transformation

A few pictures say it all…
as The Art Co-Op prepares its new space under the guidance of Director, Kim Elia.

The gallery will be open to the public starting June 14, even as it continues its rebirth.
A Gala Re-Opening Reception will be held on July 7, as part of First Saturday art event in Three Rivers. Receptions details will be posted soon.

The Art Co-Op is moving!

Kim Elia, Director of The Art Co-Op Gallery, announced this week that the gallery will be moving to a new–and larger–location. The new space is just a short distance up river from the original home for the gallery. It is located next door to Colors Art Gallery on Highway 198, so the two will be creating an exciting art hub for Three Rivers. Both galleries will be having grand opening celebrations on the First Saturday in July.

As of June 1, the Art Co-Op artists will be busy sprucing up the new location, which used to be an old gas station in the fifties and sixties. The Gallery will be showing art where car repairs used to be done so many years ago. We love this kind of transitioning!

The Gallery should be open for business some time in mid-June. We will keep everyone posted about the progress of our renovations for the new space. Come by to say hello!
